big day

Really excited about this china pattern:

Floor plan inspired by my AMAZING floral designer, Junior at Garden Gate Floral:

Absolutely love the romance of having the space in the middle of the room to dance and flow. This will be great for the first dance, father daughter dance, etc.

Bridal bouquet inspiration:

I must admit, I originally schemed to shield my wedding from all "Royal Wedding" influences. But, a couple of ideas have seeded in my brain that I simply can't filter. One of these includes a save the date featuring sketches of Kev and I. Example stamp of Grace Kelly below. Kevin would like to have a photo of us on the save the date, and I would love to make it a bit more unique. We could also use the artwork to create custom stamps for the invitations later on.

Adore this-

Seriously considering the dress below for my lovely bridesmaids. CC and Cristin give me your thoughts:

Although it's looking like our ceremony and reception will be in one location, I still think it would be fun to include a colorful map of the site. Although the map below does not fall within the style that we seem to be gravitating towards, I think that it includes just enough detail.

Kevin and I are both so excited to have our wedding outside. Nature will be a heavy theme throughout the day. However - I am also quick stuck on brining in as much tradition as posible. I absolutely adore the pomp and fanfar that a red carpet brings. The white of the dress and the rich tones in the traditional aisle do so much for the event!

I am LOVING a calligrapher [showcased below.] Check out her blog: Neither Snow.

So, I might have gone a bit nuts with the color examples, but I've included our wedding colors for the moment {emberglow [a coral], bamboo [a pale yellow that may look harsh on your screen], and quarry [a blue - Kevin's favorite color is blue, and I will work it in via a consistant character/accent.} I have also included {nougat.} We will most likely use this color for linens.

Andrea, my awesome designer buddy, pointed me toward the nifty pantone colors to be more precise when communicating with vendors. In fashion sketches just for fun:

Our wonderful event planner at Arlington Hall provided a few documents for us to review whist planning our big day. I am getting so excited about working through all of the details!

I love the idea of using a vintage post card for save the dates.
